Пришло сообщение о моем назначении в Образовательный Комитет Международного Союза Флебологов (UIP)
Цель Комитета - улучшение и совершенствование стандартов образования в области флебологии во всем мире. Сегодня Образовательный Комитет UIP возглавляет Dr Raymond Martimbeau (Канада, США). Паулина получила прекрасное образование, многие годы отдала популяризации и развитию флебологии в профессиональном Международном сообществе. Ее творческая активность и высокопрофессиональная практическая работа известны далеко за пределами США и Канады. Уверен ее знания, опыт, энергия и замечательные личные качества позволят поднять работу Комитета на достойный высокий уровень.
Большая честь и большая ответственность для меня быть членом вновь сформированного Комитета. Вместе нам предстоит много потрудиться и только вместе мы можем многого достигнуть.
Pauline Raymond-Martimbeau
Dr Pauline Raymond-Martimbeau is a Canadian and American citizen. She is in private practice in Texas, USA, and Montreal, QC, Canada. Dr. Raymond-Martimbeau is a graduate of the University of Montreal. She completed post-graduate training in phlebology and vascular surgery in Paris, France. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.
She served as president of the Canadian Society of Phlebology (1993-2016), vice-president of the International Union of Phlebology, and treasurer of the American College of Phlebology. She served as Chair of several committees, including the ACP international committee and education committee. She is a recipient of the University of Montreal Gold Medal (1992), a research award recipient of the Jobst award, and the NASP award. She is a Fellow of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society, an Emeritus Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebology, a Fellow member of the Canadian Society of Phlebology, and a Member of Honor of the UIP, the French Society of Phlebology, and the French College of Vascular Pathology.
She is an Associate Editor-in-Chief of several medical journals and a member of the distinguished Editorial Board of the Journal of Vascular Surgery Venous and Lymphatic Disorders. She is the author of more than 100 scientific articles and five textbooks, including Ambulatory Phlebectomy. She delivered hundreds of research, didactic and clinical presentations at national and international congresses.
She is currently very active in teaching phlebology, being an official teacher and tutor of the Quebec College of Physicians and Surgeons “Guide of Phlebology program,” and being a member of the UIP Education Committee. She has trained hundreds of physicians and is the pioneer of several phlebology techniques.
Last but not least: Education is and will always be her passion. Everyone is responsible for transmitting what they learned from others.
